X-Seal Acrylic-120C Cold Cure Impregnant
Available in 100ml and 1-litre packages, Acrylic-120C cures at ambient temperature. You can apply it by spray or by drip, injection or flood.
X-Seal Acrylic-120C is a new, revolutionary alternative to sealants, fillers and coatings. It has a very low viscosity and behaves like water, drawing itself through material deep below the surface to fill voids of any size, and then curing to a solid but resilient mass.
The 100ml kit has the equipment you need to apply it. To use the one-litre container, choose the Compressed Air Spray Gun Kit or the Non-Spray Toolkit in addition to the Sealant & Catalyst package.
Acrylic-120C cures at ambient temperature. It is self-penetrating and will cure within the confines of its substrate, such as metal, stone, wood or composite material. Such applications include sealing porosity in metal components, but also anything that has capillary attraction.
The sealant provides renewed strength to its host material as well as protecting it against weather ingress, frost damage and decay.
Gel Time
Gel time is typically around two to three minutes from adding the catalyst. As the impregnant can be discharged from either the 100ml or 1000ml dispensers within 40-45 seconds, this leaves sufficient time for adequate penetration of the substrate. For longer gel times, the impregnant may be refrigerated before use, as shown on the chart. Note: impregnant can heat on curing.
